What do we do about immoral artists?

What should we do with great art made by terrible people? There are plenty of examples of authors, artists, film-makers and musicians who have committed crimes, yet who created beautiful works of art. To what extent should we judge the value of an artwork by the moral qualities of the artist who made it?
